His high school students have been accepted in music programs at Belmont University, UNC Greensboro, UNCW, ECU, Berklee School of Music, and University of NC School of the Arts (2009 Fall semester).

BACH TO BEBOP STUDENT RECOGNITION - 2007-2009

In 2008-2009 his students included a high school sophomore 1st chair All State alto sax symphonic band winner who scored the highest score of any instrument in the competition,, a high school senior All District Band saxophone winner, a 8th grade middle schooler who took 1st chair All State tenor sax and had the highest score of any instrument in the competition, another middle schooler who took 1st place Concert Band All District on Tenor Sax, and a 6th and 8th grade clarinet players who made All District and the Triangle Youth Orchestra.

In 2007 -2008 his students included a high school freshman All State alto sax symphonic and All State jazz band winner, a high school senior All District Band winner, two middle school 7 th graders who took the top two symphonic band tenor sax positions at All District, and a RAFA flute division winner .
